Good work!

I have another sketch to add:

As you can see, David Berkowitz was also clearly the model for "B60 Thug".

TTYL!!

  1. Looks nothing like Berkowitz. Berkowitz had that deep part and hair to the side. This person obviously has the slicked back Guido hair style.

  2. Is the Virginia Voskerichian sketch that of the joggers who witnessed a suspicious man in the vicinity? Because Mr. Barlow saw a man with a cap on.

  3. Maybe the sketch slightly looks like David Berkowitz. But the nose is too broad, the lips are too thick, too much of a widow's peak for the hair, eyes are too wide, eyebrows are less bushy and appears tweezed in the center, cheekbones are not high enough. Neck also looks squatty.

I would not eliminate that someone from Untermyer and their associates could be involved, though. Messina lived near Pelham which was also known for associations. Anyone who wants to argue that these types cannot create networks might reevaluate their argument and consider gangs, the mafia, etc. Or maybe they can just jump on board of the J. Edgar Hoover train from the 60s, go all retro, and deny the Costra Nostra exists.

In the 70s, most hitmen were being locked up on RICO charges and the mob frequently contracted out. Of these groups of men were in contact with one another related to their crimes, they'd also use some lay over of crime scene traits to cause confusion, create multiple suspects in order to reduce the chance of individual prosecution. That would be the smart thing to do, because it would also protect the person who took out the contract and the person who organized the crime, so to speak. Mob bosses are all about sheltering themselves well. Really well.
