After I went round and round with someone over them looking for my place of employment, now I'm getting questions from one of their friends about where I live.

Why on earth would where you live be relevant unless they were trying to make you feel threatened? Employment? I can see if there is a conflict of interest. Otherwise, completely not relevant and cause for litigation under the right conditions.
